THE REPORTING SESSION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES WAS HELD

The Board of Trustees of the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia summarized 2020 and presented the plans for 2021.

At the session, the main speaker of which was NUACA Rector Yeghiazar Vardanyan, the 2020 budget performance and the 2021 budget planning programme were discussed.

In the final report of the University activities in 2020, it was emphasized that a number of changes were made in the mentioned year, which were aimed at improving the quality of education: the distance learning platform has been created and is constantly being supplemented, academic hours for Foreign language and Mathematics classes have been doubled, the Foreign language classes are conducted according to the formed groups of language proficiency levels.

Within the framework of the reforms implemented in the educational process in 2020, the duration of all Master’s degree programs at NUACA has been reviewed, the way of organizing the educational process has been changed, new curricula have been developed and introduced in the 2020-2021 academic year. Due to CIF (Competitive Innovation Fund) the “Construction and Road Testing” laboratory was equipped with modern equipment, which will be a stimulus for students’ professional progress.

Considering the work of NUACA academic staff highly important, at the first session of the Scientific Council of 2021, it was approved to increase the salaries of NUACA academic staff by 10% from February 1, which is one of the strategic priorities of the University and from now on will be a continuous process.

During the session, NUACA Rector Mr. Vardanyan also informed that a workshop entitled “Prospects for the Development of the University: Challenges and New Opportunities” is to be held in February. The strategic development plan of the University will be made based on the proposals presented during the workshop.
