Transfer from College

ON THE CONTINUATION OF EDUCATION AT UNIVERSITY IN THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC YEAR FOR GRADUATES OF SECONDARY VOCATIONAL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS WHO HAVE HIGH ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE.

Graduates (hereinafter referred to as candidates) of educational institutions implementing secondary vocational education programmes in the Republic of Armenia (hereinafter referred to as SVEI) who have high academic performance (only with “Good” and (or) “Excellent” grades) are eligible to apply to continue their education in the relevant specialty at higher educational institutions (hereinafter referred to as HEIs) of the Republic of Armenia.

Applications for admission to NUACA for the 2026-2027 academic year from candidates of secondary vocational educational institutions will be accepted from July 15 to August 24.

The education of applicants at the University is organized:

If the number of subject differences (a subject difference is considered a difference of at least 30 percent or more in the number of hours of subjects approved by the curriculum of the preferred specialty, but not studied or assessed by the candidate, or in the content of the modular curriculum) between the subjects (modules) studied by the candidate and those provided for in the curriculum of the preferred specialty does not exceed 8, then:

  1. in case of the applicants admitted to the secondary vocational education institution before 2014 – in the second year of full-time or part-time study,
  2. in case of applicants admitted to the secondary vocational education institution since 2014, only in the second year of part-time study, and in case where the part-time study form of education is not provided in higher education specialties by the decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia – in the second year of full-time study.

The education of candidates at universities is organized on not state-funded basis, with the exception of candidates with privileges defined by the legislation of the Republic of Armenia.

Only applicants of secondary vocational education institutions having received state or non-state accreditation can continue their studies at a state or non-state accredited university. An applicant or a secondary vocational education institution shall submit documents to the University until August 24 of the given year.

The package of documents includes:

1) Application addressed to the Rector;

2) A copy of the graduation document – diploma and its insert;

3) A copy of the minutes;

4) Four photos (3×4 size);

A copy of an identity document (passport or ID card or birth certificate for an applicant under the age of 16, or a military ID card, or a temporary identity document issued by the police departments of the Republic of Armenia under the Government of the Republic of Armenia, residence certificate, or refugee certificate);

6) A copy of a military ID card or the conscription registration certificate (the document is accepted from an applicant of draft age, if there is a note on the right of deferral or a reason for non-draft, and from those who were previously deferred for health reasons, a note of the Republican Conscription Commission);

7) Relevant documents regarding the use of the privilege established by the legislation of the Republic of Armenia (if available).

If the number of applicants transferring to a higher education institution exceeds the number of places allocated by the authorized body of the State Administration of Education for the given academic year, the Committee selects applicants on a competitive basis, giving priority in order to the applicants who have:

  1. Graduation document of excellence (diploma with honours);
  2. Sum of the highest points in the insert of the graduation document (diploma);
  3. The highest scores as a result of the state final examination.

The competition is held until September 15 of the given year.

Based on the results of the committee competition, the Rector of the HEI issues an admission (attachment) order of the student who passed the competition until September 19 of the given year, to which the list of subject differences and the individual schedule of taking them are attached. The maximum period for taking the subject differences is three months (for each subject it is necessary to pay 25.000 AMD). Students who passed the competition submit the original of the graduation document – diploma, and its insert to the HEI.

In case of a passing grade on subject differences, the Rector of the HEI enrolls the student within three working days, after which submits a report to the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports within five days, according to the form of the present order.
