NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

The first Scientific Council session of National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia was held. After the approval of the agenda of the first Scientific Council session, NUACA Rector Yeghiazar Vardanyan presented the 2022 Annual Report. Mr. Vardanyan stated that due to the effective collaboration with our academic staff, students and colleagues, we had achievements in almost all directions. This year we had a high level of engagement in competitions on scientific topics and, owing to our scientists, we were recognized as winners in a number of principal categories. During the session, the announced competitions for the vacant positions of Deans of Faculties and Heads of Chairs were summarized. As a result, Marine Samvel Grigoryan was elected for the position of the Dean of the Faculty of Management and Technology, Artashes Arsen Melikyan was elected for the position of the Dean of the Faculty of Design, Tigran Leonid Dadayan was elected for the position of the Head of the Chair of Building Structures, and Tatevik Vardges Yedoyan was elected for the position of the Head of the Chair of Economics, Law and Management.

Afterwards, Mr. Vardanyan informed that a project has been drafted, which will be presented at the upcoming meeting of the Board of Trustees, and if approved, the salaries of academic staff and administrative employees will be increased starting from February 1, 2023. Mr. Vardanyan emphasized that the increase of salaries is aimed at boosting the quality of education as well as at the modernization of learning and teaching methods. In its turn, the University will provide all the necessary conditions for the use of modern teaching methods, the use of professional software packages, and training courses will be organized for lecturers. During the session, other current and agenda issues were also discussed.
