University with a 100-Year History
The results of the architectural workshop, launched at the beginning of April, were presented to NUACA management and academic staff of the Faculty of Architecture.
The workshop was organized within the scope of searching new methodology in architectural education, in particular, the approach of problem-based learning was applied. The topic of the workshop was a collection of “Proposals for Reshaping Green Spaces of Yerevan State University with Landscaping Solutions”, dedicated to the memory of University students martyred during the 44-day war. The application for proposals was submitted by the management of Yerevan State University.
2nd and 3rd year students, supervised by the Dean of the Faculty Armen Shatvoryan, participated in the workshop.
Due to the teamwork and the application of a special creative methodology, the students presented a number of sketching ideas, through the combination of which a clear proposal was formed and approved.
Such an educational methodology enabled students to substantiate their work with the application of analytical and comprehensive approach at an earlier stage and to improve teamwork and collaboration skills.
Participants received certificates of participation from the Faculty for improving their landscaping skills and for their participation in the workshop on “Proposals for Reshaping Green Spaces of Yerevan State University with Landscaping Solutions”.
