NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

During his long-term university activity, especially as the Rector, NUACA Rector Yeghiazar Vardanyan had a key contribution to the educational, scientific, international and technological progress of the University. Due to him, the educational and scientific-research environment of the University has been significantly improved, in particular, the classrooms, laboratories and studios were furnished with new generation computers, modern equipment and necessary materials. Due to his efforts, the RA Government allocated a new educational area to NUACA, which was renovated and furnished in accordance with modern requirements. In the near future, the BIM laboratory will be put into operation, which is new in the field of Engineering education.

Under the direct leadership of Yeghiazar Vardanyan, all academic programmes operating in the University were revised, emphasizing the needs of the labour market, due to which it will be full of qualified and competitive specialists. In the course of his work, a number of international contracts and memoranda were signed with universities, scientific organizations, as well as with key partners in the field.

The University was granted institutional accreditation for a period of 6 years, and by the Decision of the French Ministry of Culture, the diploma awarded in NUACA “Architecture” specialty was re-recognized as equivalent to the state diploma of a French Architect. The University became the authorized academic partner of “AUTODESK” company in the RA, an academic member of the International Federation of Surveyors and a member of the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations.

Mr. Vardanyan has always attached importance to the scientific activity of the University, particularly the implementation of international scientific conferences dedicated to applied problems and the publication of scientific articles in prestigious journals. Since 2023, the “Journal of Architectural and Engineering Research” of National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, founded and published by the decision of NUACA Scientific Council,  has been registered in a number of referential and scientometric international databases as a result of technical and content reforms.

The University has been involved in the largest field projects implemented in the Republic of Armenia, as well as in the development of urban planning norms.

As a result of Mr. Vardanyan’s daily hard work and provided opportunities, the successes and victories of lecturers, students and schoolchildren in various international and national Olympiads, programs and competitions are also great.

One can provide a list of the programs and reforms implemented under the leadership of our Rector  for a long time, which, as reliable partners, have strengthened the University’s reputation both on the domestic and international platforms.
