University with a 100-Year History
The celebration dedicated to the 5th anniversary of the “BELT AND ROAD” Architectural University International Consortium and the 115th anniversary of the foundation of Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture was held remotely.
In 2022, Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture is celebrating its 115th anniversary, as well as the 5th anniversary of the foundation of the “BELT AND ROAD” Architectural University International Consortium.
During its 115-year-old history, Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture has produced more than 70,000 graduates in numerous fields. They have become prominent architects, constructors, scientists, engineers, artists and managers not only in China, but also in various countries around the world. The principle of staff training at Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture entailed providing students with such sustainable and rich knowledge, capacities and skills, that the graduates could set tasks in their fields and give accurate solutions to the set and existing tasks, directing them to the development of relevant fields, thus also becoming the driving force of the economy. During nearly 15-year-old cooperation between National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia and Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, exchanges of students, lecturers and experts, summer schools, scientific conferences and student competitions have been organized.
On November 7, on the occasion of the 115th anniversary of the foundation of Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture and the 5th anniversary of the “BELT AND ROAD” Architectural University International Consortium, the presentation of the projects, which participated in the competition and took prizes, was held online.
It is already the third year that NUACA students and lecturers participate in the “BELT AND ROAD” Architectural University International Consortium. In 2022, the students of NUACA Faculty of Architecture and Faculty of Construction participated in the international digital architectural design competition for students with their projects. The Faculty of Architecture (5 students and 2 supervisors) submitted a project entitled “Conceptual Architectural Design of the Dabancheng Railway Station” and the Faculty of Construction (4 students and 2 supervisors) submitted a project entitled “Design of “KM20+300” Bridge on the Fioletovo-Vanadzor Section of Yerevan-Ayrum Georgian Border” in the competition.
The two projects submitted by NUACA received honourable certificates of appreciation. NUACA Rector Yeghiazar Vardanyan delivered a video and audio welcome speech: “Dear friends, I extend my deep gratitude to all the members of the Consortium, and especially to the Chinese side, for organizing this double jubilee event at a high level, and for ensuring the stability of our cooperation,” noted Mr. Vardanyan.
