NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

On May 26-30, NUACA Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs G. Stepanyan and Vice-Rector for International Relations V. Yedoyan participated in the regular session of the Department of the International Non-Governmental Organization for the Support of Construction Education in Moscow. During the business trip, working meetings were also held at Moscow Architectural Institute (MArchI), Moscow Automobile and Road State Technical University (MADI), National Research Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (NRU MGSU).

During the visit to the Moscow Architectural Institute, the Vice-Rectors had working meetings with the Deans and Deputy Deans of the Faculties of Architecture, Heads of the Chairs of Architectural Planning of Dwelling, Public Houses, and Town-Planning, discussed the current issues of curriculum modernization, and new strategic issues of the University.

The teaching and methodological innovations and new achievements of the Chair were discussed and the tasks and teaching and methodological manuals acquired within this framework were provided to the University in printed and electronic versions.

Professional discussions on architecture and urban planning, as well as seminars were also organized.

An oral agreement was reached between the two universities on the organization of network education.

During the visit to the Moscow Automobile and Road State Technical University (MADI), NUACA Vice-Rectors had meeting with the Acting Rector, First Vice-Rector, Vice-Rectors for Scientific, Academic Affairs, International Relations of the Moscow Automobile and Road State Technical University, as well as with the Heads and the staff of the Chairs of “Road Building Materials”, “Bridges, Tunnels and Civil Engineering Structures”, “Construction and Operation of Motorways”, “Road Survey and Design” and laboratories. Issues related to the establishment of scientific-educational cooperation between the two universities, the development and introduction of joint educational programs in the field of construction and road building, implementation of joint research in the field of road and bridge building materials, issues of mobility of researchers, lecturers and students of the relevant field were discussed. “Cooperation Agreement between the Moscow Automobile and Road State Technical University and the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia” was submitted to the management of the Moscow Automobile and Road State Technical University for signing.

During the visit to the National Research Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (NRU MGSU), NUACA delegation also participated in the regular session of the Department of the International Non-Governmental Organization for the Support of Construction Education (АСВ).

According to the agenda of the session, the reports on the activities and financial situation of the Organization for the years 2015-2020 were presented, elections of the President, Vice-Presidents, General Director, Executive Secretary and Department Members of the Organization were held. As a result of the voting, the Rector of the National Research Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (NRU MGSU), Professor P. A. Akimov was elected as the President of the International Non-Governmental Organization for the Support of Construction Education, Vice-Rector T. B. Kaytukov was elected as the Vice-President of the Organization, V. I. Tilichenkov – as the Honorary President, V. I. Andreyev – as the Honorary General Director. NUACA Rector, Professor Y. V. Vardanyan was unanimously elected as a member of the Department of the International Non-Governmental Organization for the Support of Construction Education.

Agreements on scientific-educational cooperation were signed between the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, the Moscow Automobile and Road State Technical University as well as the National Research Moscow State University of Civil Engineering. The agreements include implementation of joint educational programs, scientific-research activities, as well as academic staff and student mobility.

The directions of international cooperation of the University expand over time, contributing to the development of the educational process and the solution of sectoral problems.
