NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

The Civil Engineering Summer School produced its first graduates. Fabio Buonomo, Chief Operating Director of “IRD Engineering”, Stepan Machyan, General Director of the RA “Road Department” SNCO and Yeghiazar Vardanyan, the Rector of the NUACA awarded Summer School graduation certificates to the 8 students of the University at the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia.

“Thank you for the successful implementation of this program. The idea of setting up the Civil Engineering Summer School was enthusiastically accepted by our company. This program was a very good opportunity to transfer the experience of our specialists to the students. Given the successful experience of the Summer School, such programs will be continuous. I am glad that I have made a modest contribution to this process,” said Fabio Buonomo, Chief Operating Director of “IRD Engineering”, when congratulating the students.

The aim of the Summer School was to strengthen the students’ theoretical knowledge by replenishing it with applicable skills and abilities. Within the framework of the program, the students worked with both Armenian and foreign specialists.

“I highly appreciate the implementation of such a program and I hope it will be continuous. The profession of a constructor in the field of construction is becoming more and more demanded. I call on our students not to be satisfied with what they have achieved and to constantly improve their knowledge”, said Yeghiazar Vardanyan, the Rector of the NUACA in his congratulatory speech.

Congratulating the students and all the participants of the program for the work done, the General Director of the “Road Department” SNCO Stepan Machyan emphasized that the works in the field of construction in Armenia are growing year by year at an exponential rate: “The only way to meet the demand in the field is quality education. Construction companies are ready to engage knowledgeable specialists with high salaries. I am sure that the knowledge gained in the Summer School will give positive results”.

“We are very impressed with the theoretical and practical teaching. The specialists of “IRD Engineering” Company shared their knowledge with us, presenting the European work experience, applied technologies and materials in the field of construction”, said the students, expressing their gratitude to the “IRD Engineering” Company, the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure and the University, and received the certificates of the Civil Engineering Summer School.

NUACA Rector Yeghiazar Vardanyan and the Chief Operating Director of “IRD Engineering” Fabio Buonomo, discussed further cooperation plans in a private conversation. Taking into account the positive results of the Summer School, they agreed that the program should be continuous. As a result of the private conversation, at the suggestion of the NUACA Rector, a decision was made to regularly organize professional open lessons for students with the University lecturers and the experts of “IRD Engineering” Company.

The Civil Engineering Summer School was set up on the basis of a memorandum signed between the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, the “IRD Engineering” Company and NUACA. As stated by Fabio Buonomo, the Summer School in our region was their first experience abroad, which is undoubtedly successful.
