A WORKING MEETING WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE “DEVISION” PROJECT AT NUACA

Within the framework of the “Digital Connection of Real and Virtual Environments” (DEVision) project of the Austrian Development Agency, on October 27-29, representatives of the consortium of the project from University of Salzburg in Austria, Kyrgyz State Technical University and Yerevan State University arrived at National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia.

During the three-day meeting, the participants revised the course modules formed within the framework of the project, as well as discussed issues related to project management and further work. The management team of the project also met with NUACA Rector Yeghiazar Vardanyan, discussing issues related to the work process of the project and new perspectives of cooperation.

It should be noted that the “Digital Connection of Real and Virtual Environments” (DEVision) project was launched from March 1, 2022, which is co-financed by the Austrian Development Agency within the scope of the Austrian Partnership Programme in Higher Education and Research for Development (APPEAR); The DEvision project is aimed at integrating a number of geospatial online and mixed learning courses into the undergraduate and graduate programmes of partner universities. The initiative is carried out within the context of “Digital Earth” vision and “digital transformation” ideas that affect societies, economies and the environment. The courses to be developed in this project will be integrated into the undergraduate and graduate academic programmes. Three courses will be developed and integrated in the “Geodesy and Cadastre” undergraduate programme, two courses in the graduate programme. The developed courses will also be offered to social partners as continuing education through short-term training courses, providing an opportunity for professional certification. Being open learning resources, these courses will contribute to the development of geospatial capacities of those not associated with the “DEVision” project.
