THE FINAL WORKSHOP OF ERASMUS+ FLEXWBL PROJECT

The Final Workshop of Erasmus+ FlexWBL project entitled “Development of a Flexible, Innovative and Practical Framework for Work-Based Learning in Higher Education of Armenia and Russia” funded by the European Union was held at Liepāja University, Latvia. The workshop was attended by the delegations of National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, Brusov State University, and Gavar State University from the Republic of Armenia.

The Erasmus+ FlexWBL Project activities were launched in 2019. The aim of the FlexWBL Project is to promote work-based learning (WBL) in the national higher education systems of Armenia.

During the Workshop, the representatives of the University presented the activities carried out within the framework of the FlexWBL Project, the details of the “Project Management” pilot graduate academic programme (in the field of Construction), the relevant changes made to the curriculum, as well as agreements reached with partner organizations.

At the meeting with external auditors, during the Q&A Session the results achieved within the framework of the Project were discussed and the performance indicators of HEIs were assessed.

It is noteworthy that the cooperation with the European partner universities extends beyond the framework of the Project. In February 2023, during a working meeting organized at the Private University College of Education, Diocese Linz, Austria, an offer of cooperation was received by the coordinator university of the Project – Liepāja University, Latvia, as a result of which NUACA was also enrolled in the 2023-2024 Erasmus+ mobility programme of the University. It is envisaged by the programme to exchange 5-7 lecturers from each university and 8 NUACA students during the 2023-2024 academic year. The coordinator university of the Project – the University of Liepāja, Latvia, presenting their cooperation with NUACA as a successful example, suggested that other universities should also consider the possibility of working together in similar formats.

During the business trip to Liepāja, NUACA received another offer of cooperation from the University of Applied Sciences, Latvia (EKA).
