Recently, the Final Conference on the “Transformation of Architecture and Civil Engineering Education into a Sustainable Model” (Erasmus+ TACEESM) Project has been held, which was attended by the representatives of partner universities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, as well that of G. D’Annunzio University of Chieti-Pescara, Italy.
The participants of the Conference were hosted at NUACA. At the opening of the Session Vice-Rector for International Relations Vardges Yedoyan, Vice-Rector of National Polytechnic University of Armenia Sargis Asatryants and Project Coordinator Lorenzo Pignatti (G. D’Annunzio University of Chieti-Pescara, Italy) delivered their welcome speeches.
On behalf of NUACA Rector, Mr. Yedoyan welcomed the participants of the Final Conference of Erasmus+ TACEESM Project. He highlighted that TACEESM Project laid the foundation for developing BIM technologies at the University. In particular, lecturers gained knowledge of BIM technologies, while the University obtained additional experience and equipment in the field of BIM technologies for the establishment of a BIM laboratory. Summing up his speech, Mr. Yedoyan wished all the participants productive activities during the Conference days, anticipating future fruitful cooperation.
On behalf of National Polytechnic University of Armenia, Vice-Rector of the same University Mr. Asatryants warmly welcomed all the participants of the Final Conference of Erasmus+ TACEESM Project. According to his words, TACEESM Project has been created to improve the quality of higher education in partner countries, particularly, in the fields of Architecture and Engineering. The aim of the Project was to adapt education to the changing needs of the labour market and to harmonize it with European development strategies. The Project contributed to the training of professional architects and engineers.
Project Coordinator Mr. Lorenzo Pignatti welcomed the participants of the Final Conference and mentioned the numerous difficulties faced during the implementation of the Project, highlighting the invaluable role of the Universities of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the successful completion of the Project. He expressed hope that the achievements reached due to the Project will serve as a basis for the further development of fruitful cooperation between partner universities.
The results of TACEESM Project were presented in separate work packages during the Conference. The process of developing the final report and related works of partner universities were also presented.
During the three-day visit, TACEESM working group visited Vanadzor Technology Center as well, where the Armenian and foreign guests met the employees of various companies of Vanadzor Technology Center, got acquainted with the available laboratory capacities, outlining the possible future directions of cooperation. The final meeting was held at National Polytechnic University of Armenia.
