In the frames of agreement signed between NUACA and Mkhitar Sebastatsi Educational Complex Sebastatsies hosted the dean of the Architecture Faculty Sargis Tovmasyan, vice dean Armen Shatvoryan, the lecturers and a group of students on April 11th.
The idea was welcomed and far going from the standpoint of generating interest toward architecture and contributing to pupils’ professional orientation since the school years. The discussion-meeting at the Fine Arts school of Mkhitar Sebastatsi Complex – the “Educational Garden Residential Suburb”, was the first meeting for establishing a studio-laboratory within a civil initiative.
The principal of the educational complex Ashot Bleyan toured the guests in the school, presented painting, drawing, animation and theatrical classes of the school, and emphazised that the Fine Arts school is aimed at consolidating the different specialties under one floor and introducing them to students.
Sargis Tovmasyan visited the school to spread an important word with his presentation entitled “Look around” about the historical overview on architecture and initiate discussions about the importance and peculiarities of the architect’s mission and specialty.
At the end of the meeting it was agreed to form a working group consisting of the students and lecturers of Architecture Faculty headed by Armen Shatvoryan. According to Ashot Bleyan they will have all necessary conditions for designing and vitalizing their idea of a studio-laboratory. The studio from where the future student of our University and the future architect may show up.
