ONE OF THE TEN PARTICIPANTS OF CIVIL ENGINEERING SUMMER SCHOOL WILL GO TO ITALY

On June 27, as announced previously, the information meeting of Civil Engineering Summer School was held, which was attended by NUACA Chief of the Staff Hovsep Hoveyan, the Manager of the Armenian Branch of “IRD” Italian company Tigran Mesropyan, the Deans of the Faculty of Construction, the Faculty of Management and Technology, the Faculty of Urban Economy and Ecology, Head of the Chair of Roads and Bridges, and students from different faculties and years interested in the program.

At the beginning of the meeting, NUACA Chief of the Staff Hovsep Hoveyan greeted the attendees and reminded that in 2021 within the framework of the Memorandum signed between the University, the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, and IRD Engineering, Civil Engineering Summer School was formed, which had its first graduates and successfully launched in the summer of 2021. H. Hoveyan, extending his gratitude to the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure and “IRD Engineering” Italian company for ensuring the continuity of Civil Engineering Summer School, urged the attending students to actively participate in the pre-election stage of the school, as this is a great opportunity to gain professional knowledge, to communicate with international experts and apply the experience gained from them in the future.

The Manager of the Armenian Branch of “IRD” Italian company Tigran Mesropyan greeted everyone noting that their company implements various activities in nearly 21 countries of the world in the fields of design, technical supervision, consulting, macroeconomic and microeconomic analyses, as well as other fields.

“Thank you for cooperation. Last year this idea was implemented by all our efforts, and I think we have had a good experience. I am sure that this year we will organize and implement the Summer School better. Taking into account last year’s results, our company has decided to choose one of the 10 participants of the Summer School for this year and to send to Rome, Italy, and the travel expenses will be covered by our company. There the winner will have the opportunity to participate in meetings with international partners and to get acquainted with the construction works on site. We are also planning meetings with professional universities,” noted T. Mesropyan.

During the meeting, the film about the Summer School held last year was shown, then there was an exchange of ideas. As it was noted by Head of the Chair of Roads and Bridges Hakob Gyulzadyan this Summer School as last year this year also will have its important and positive impact on reinforcement of the residual knowledge of the participating students. Dean of the Faculty of Construction Aram Sahakyan informed that as last year, all the participants of this year’s Summer School also will be awarded with international certificates of participation.

We should remind that this year the Civil Engineering Summer School will launch from July 11 with a duration of three weeks, within the framework of which 10 NUACA students will have the opportunity to get acquainted with international road construction programs, gain applied knowledge, and experience in the field of technical supervision of construction works, design implementation, and management procedures.

The deadline for submitting applications is set for July 5, included. Those wishing to participate in the program can register at the following link.
