ARSEN MELKONYAN RECEIVED EXCELLENCE АWARD AFTER VENERA MARGARYAN

For the third year in a row, the solemn ceremony of awarding Venera Margaryan Scholarship is taking place. The scholarship is awarded to the student with the highest GPA in geodesic subjects of the Chair of Engineering Geodesy.

Venera Margaryan headed the Chair of Engineering Geodesy in 2012-2015, being an esteemed Professor. It is also due to her dedicated work that the graduates of the Chair easily find their place in the labor market.

As in previous years, this year also the award ceremony took place at the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, and the winner was Arsen Melkonyan, a 4th year student of the Engineering Geodesy specialty of the Faculty of Construction. The scholarship was awarded by the Dean of the Faculty of Construction Aram Sahakyan and Venera Margaryan’s niece Anahit Armenakyan.

The event was attended by the NUACA Rector, Vice-Rectors, the Dean of the Faculty of Construction, the lecturers of the Chair of Engineering Geodesy and the winner’s classmates.

Coordinator of the Chair of Engineering Geodesy Samvel Kroyan mentioned that all 4th year students have high academic performance. However, A. Melkonyan was recognized as the winner, because his GPA in geodesic subjects was a bit higher.

Arsen Melkonyan, in his turn, extended his gratitude for the award, assuring that this monetary incentive will be managed by all the students in the class, as it is the outcome of their joint work.

On behalf of Margaryan family, Anahit Armenakyan congratulated the winner and thanked the University for continuing this good tradition and always keeping Mrs. Margaryan’s memory alive.

Rector Y․ Vardanyan thanked Mrs. Margaryan’s family for their contribution to the development of education and handed a certificate of appreciation to Mrs. Armenakyan for encouraging the students’ academic performance in the field of geodesy.
