AN AGREEMENT WAS SIGNED BETWEEN NUACA AND SHUSHI UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY

An agreement of cooperation was signed between National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia and Shushi University of Technology. The event was attended by NUACA Rector Y. Vardanyan, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs M. Barseghyan,  Vice-Rector for Educational Reforms G. Stepanyan, Chief of the Staff H. Hoveyan, Rector of Shushi University of Technology Nver Mikayelyan, Vice-Rector for Education and Scientific Affairs Rosa Avagyan, and Head of the Department of Urban Development, Architecture, Energy and Water Systems Manushak Titanyan. 

The agreement includes:

  • Elaboration and implementation of joint academic and other programmes in the fields of educational-training, scientific-research and teaching-methodical activities;
  • Exchange of academic staff, experts and students;
  • Signing announcements and documents;
  • Implementation of information and sports-cultural events;
  • Conducting joint research in areas of mutual interest in accordance with financial capabilities;
  • Publication of the results of bilateral research and scientific articles;
  • Exchange of information on scientific achievements, as well as implementation of conferences, symposia, celebrations, memorable and other important events.

NUACA Rector, emphasizing the importance of the agreement, highlighted that it is related not only to educational activities, but also to the coordination of the educational process, and conveys a very strong and deep meaning, leading not to obligated, but pleasant and effective cooperation. The agreement will also activate cooperation between the two universities. NUACA is ready to support the implementation of all initiatives and to assist in various issues. “We are very pleased, and we also have a lot to learn and take from you, in order to identify the issues of architectural cultural heritage and in many other directions, to pass them on to our younger generations, so that they can measure up with our elders, who have performed all these functions with high honor and responsibility,” mentioned NUACA Rector. Rector of Shushi University of Technology N. Mikaelyan also emphasized the importance of signing the agreement, confidently noting that it will not remain on paper: various activities and initiatives are envisaged to be implemented. The traditions and quality of education of National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia are a guideline for them, leading to new achievements and contributing not only to the development of universities but also to the development of Armenia and Artsakh, addressing the issues of the field. The Rector expressed his gratitude to NUACA, for organizing free courses of Physics and for the readiness to assist in various issues before signing the agreement.
