NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

Builders create not only buildings, structures, but also friendship, relationship and partnerships. Maybe the above will seem impossible, but when it comes to future builders of the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, everything becomes possible.

Last year, when the president of the Union of Builders of Belarus Nikolay Sheremet and the leaders of the biggest construction companies visited at the presidential elections in the Union of Builders of Armenia and then at our university, during the visit we  talked about the summer work “adventures” of our students in Belarus: particular in Minsk.

The word spoken by the leaders is significant, and our willingness to work is steel like. On the first of July, 11 students of the Faculty of Construction of our University, headed by the dean of the Faculty of Urban Economics and Ecology Valerik Harutyunyan, went to the capital of Belarus.

In Belarus, they were personally greeted by the director of the “MAPID” construction company Nikolay Miloshevsky, accompanied by whom the delegation of our university visited the Building Museum, the construction site, got acquainted with the equipment and building materials. It should be noted that ‘‘MAPID’’ is one of the largest companies in Belarus, from which about 50% of residential buildings in Minsk were built, and 17 independent construction companies are under its authority.

After meeting and acclimatizing in rainy weather at Minsk, our students were already at the construction site in the next morning. As skilled craftsmen, they tirelessly fulfilled their duties: laying curbs and tiles, sand compacting and a number of other landscaping works.

Students admit that they studied and worked with pleasure during the whole month of production internship, appreciating and realizing the importance of this opportunity in enriching their own professional knowledge.

The Minsk working July was completed by the entertainment, which was attended by the President of the Union of Builders of Belarus, by mutual thanks, certificates issued by the ‘‘MAPID’’ construction company to the Dean V. Harutyunyan and the students and also with the obligatory promise of continuous internship.
