Within the framework of the bilateral Memorandum signed by NUACA Faculty of Design and the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia, the students majoring in “Graphic Design” specialty visited the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia. The students toured around the Visitor Center, where they were introduced to the history of the national currency circulation by means of static, thematic and interactive exhibitions, starting from the 3rd century B.C. to the present day, as well as technological features and professional skills of creating modern Armenian Dram. The students also visited the laboratory for banknote verification, where the protective properties of Dram were presented through an interactive demonstration.

The Students had the opportunity to get acquainted with modern commemorative coins issued by the Central Bank, which, as a rule, are made of valuable metals and are devoted to the national, historical, cultural, spiritual and other values of the country. The acquaintance with commemorative coins arose special interest among students, as they had previously had their participation in the competition of sketches of commemorative coins announced by the Central Bank. In the cinema hall adjacent to the Visitor Center, the participants watched a thematic video on the process of creating modern Armenian banknotes.

The meeting was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Design Artashes Melikyan, the Head of the Chair of Design Ashot Baghdasaryan, as well as lecturers Tamara Tuysuzyan and Ani Atsharyan.

At the end of the visit, souvenirs were handed over to all the participants by the Central Bank.
