UNIVERSITY SEMINARS CONTINUE

University seminars are being held at National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, which aim to create a platform for exchange of experience and have discussions on various topics related to science and education. For conducting the seminars, NUACA Scientific Council set a clear format, according to which all University Chairs presented about 35 topics, and a schedule was drawn up, which covers the period until the end of the year. The seminars are held on Fridays and each time one of the University Chairs presents a scientific seminar on a different topic.

Currently, seminars on the following topics have been carried out:

  • “Protection of Pressure Pipelines in the Conditions of Sudden Changes in Pressure”, presented by PhD in Technical Sciences Gevorg Veranyan.
  • “Modern Requirements and Approaches of the Military Industry”, presented by the Head of the Chair of Informatics, Computing Technology and Management Systems, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Mher Markosyan.
  • The importance of reviewing RA Construction Norms on “CONSTRUCTION CLIMATE” dated 22.01.2024 for obtaining reliable results in scientific-research activities, presented by the Head of the Chair of Heat and Gas Supply and Ventilation, PhD in Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Anna Karamyan and PhD in Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Artashes Petrosyan.
  • “Engineering-Geological Features of Structurally Unstable Soils”, presented by Doctor of Geological Sciences and Professor at the Chair of Building Structures Sargis Hayroyan.
  • “International Ethical Standards of Architects and Legal Regulation of Professional Practice”, presented by the Head of the Science Department, Doctor of Architecture and Associate Professor at the Chair of Urban Planning Sargis Tovmasyan.

In his speech, Head of NUACA Science Department Sargis Tovmasyan mentioned: “The topics are numerous and varied, and the interest and involvement of the students is quite high, which is really welcomed. We don’t have a limit on the number of students, so anyone who wants, can participate.”

The Seminars are not only science-oriented, but also contain practical and educational elements that are useful for both students and lecturers.
