Susanna Hakobyan, a student of the Faculty of Urban Economy and Ecology, was elected President of the Student Council at the enlarged session of the Student Council of the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia.
On October 5, the enlarged session of the Student Council took place, which was chaired by the President of the Student Council Armen Harutyunyan. The enlarged session involved delegates of the faculties and Student Council presidium members. The session was also attended by PhD in Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Hayk Sargsyan, one of the presidents who chaired the Student Council in different years, and Hovsep Hoveyan, PhD in Technical Sciences, Honorary President of the Student Council.
Before proceeding to the agenda, the incumbent President Armen Harutyunyan thanked for the joint work and emphasized that during his 3 years in office he protected the interests and rights of the students as much as possible and ensured the autonomy of the students.
“The Student Council has been and will continue to be one of the most important structures of the University, which has served the benefit of the student, where the student has raised issues, received solutions to issues of concern, has been involved in University life, being informed and protected,” said A. Harutyunyan.
The President of the Student Council Armen Harutyunyan presented the personal profile of the President candidate Susanna Hakobyan and informed that S. Hakobyan has been a member of the student body since 2018 and has carried out 3 major student programs. As a result of the open voting for the election of the President of the Student Council, Susanna Hakobyan, a student of the Faculty of Urban Economy and Ecology, was unanimously elected President. The newly elected President thanked for the trust.
“I would like to express special gratitude in the person of Mr. Harutyunyan to the presidents of our Student Council of all times, as their role in and contribution to the establishment of the Student Council is undeniable. I want to assure that all the traditional programs and student events will not only be preserved, but new ones will be added to them,” added S. Hakobyan.
