NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

The staff of the Mortenson Center in Global Engineering and Resilience of the University of Colorado Boulder visited NUACA. The academic staff and students were introduced to the various academic, research, and collaborative programmes they offered aimed at improving the environment using better technologies and experimental solutions.

The meeting was conducted by Associate Professor of the Center Carlo Salvinelli and Chief Research Officer Kat Demaree, who presented environmental technologies, including remote sensing and monitoring technologies, evidence-based decision-making processes, as well as the global challenges existing in the field and their solutions. 

The meeting was attended by Dean of the Faculty of Construction Aram Sahakyan, Head of the Chair of Water Systems, Hydraulic Engineering, and Hydropower Arestak Sarukhanyan, lecturers of the Chair, and students.

Details of online global engineering courses offered by the Center and joint online study programmes offering graduate and scientific degrees, as well as opportunities to conduct joint research within the framework of USAID Armenia “Strengthening Oversight of Armenia’s Water Resources” program were also presented.
