NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

1SQ initiated a presentation of the “Dalan Technopark” project managed by them for the students of National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia. This Project, which has been designed and is being built in accordance with international LEED and BOMA standards, is the first of its kind in the construction field of Armenia.

NUACA Chief of the Staff Paylak Karapetyan delivered a welcome speech and noted: “NUACA has adopted a policy of constant contact with both state and private organizations. This means that our education doesn’t have only a theoretical basis, and the University does everything to make it applied and practical. Since the University is the only higher education institution in Armenia in the field of architecture and construction, I am confident that graduates of our University were involved in the design work at the initial stage of the Project. I would like to emphasize the fact that the University is involved in large-scale and important projects, such as the design works of the Academic City, the new Metro station and Jradzor settlement, amendments in construction norms, etc. In conclusion, I wish everyone a productive discussion.”

“This Meeting, which is of interest to a large number of students, is aimed at educating future specialists with practical examples, as a result of which we will have knowledgeable specialists ready for the modern challenges of the field, who will be competitive in the construction field with their knowledge and skills,” in his speech noted Dean of the Faculty of Construction Aram Sahakyan.

In his speech, Director of the 1SQ Hayk Bagratuni attached importance to the private-university cooperation, within the framework of which an opportunity is provided to visualize theoretical knowledge more objectively, visit construction sites, design or construction management organizations.

“I am glad that we had the opportunity to meet with NUACA students again.”

Within the framework of the memorandum of cooperation signed between NUACA  and the Armenian Association of Developers, we hosted a group of students at the Company last year and presented the activities and experience of the Company. “I am confident that the experience and transfer of knowledge in the field of construction project management have helped to visualize theoretical knowledge more objectively” noted 1SQ Project Coordinator Roman Mardoyan.

Coordinator of the “Dalan Technopark” project Hayk Ter-Tachatyan spoke about the idea, role and significance of creating the Dalan Technopark in the development of the technological field of Armenia.

Representatives of various companies involved in the Project were also present at the meeting and spoke about the features of the Project. Co-owner of 1SQ Company and Board Member of the “Armenian Association of Builders” NGO Armen Sakapetoyan summed up the Meeting and invited the students to the construction site of Dalan Technopark to get acquainted with the construction process on site.
