NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

The Diploma Supplement was developed in 1996-1998 by the joint efforts of the European Commission, the Council of Europe and UNESCO to promote recognition of academic and employment qualifications.

However, whether the Diploma Supplement serves its purpose? Whether higher educational institutions implement the four basic principles that are included in the Supplement? The National Information Center for Academic Recognition and Mobility has developed and sent questionnaires to 47 educational institutions to find answers to these questions to propose opportunities to clarify and correct gaps.

Today at the invitation of the National Information Center for Academic Recognition and Mobility, representatives from different universities, NUACA professors and Deputy Minister of Education and Science Grisha Tamrazyan were gathered at the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia.

Director of the Center Gayane Harutyunyan presented to the invitees the results of the study “Diploma Supplement. Does It Serve Its Purpose?” as well as major changes to the revised version of the diploma supplements and the digitalization opportunities conducted by the National information Center for Academic Recognition and Mobility. Deputy Minister Tamrazyan noted that the Ministry of Education and Science is always open to all the measures and proposals to improve the sphere of innovation and education.

The study was intense. Discussed the answers received from the questionnaires and suggested numerous proposals.
