NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

It is Hrant Tadevosyan’s (Tatos) anniversary, People’s and Honorary Artist of the Republic of Armenia, lecturer at the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, honorary member of the Russian Academy of Arts.

Hrant Tadevosyan (Tatos) was born on April 20, 1940 in Shirak Province. He studied at Yerevan Kh. Abovyan Armenian State Pedagogical Institute, Faculty of Aesthetics. Since 2008 he has been teaching at the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia and is an honorary professor at the University. The artist has had solo exhibitions in Yerevan, Moscow, Buenos Aires, Germany, Paris, Geneva, Los Angeles and other places. He has been awarded the titles of “Honorary Artist of the Republic of Armenia” and “People’s Artist of the Republic of Armenia”. Hrant Tadevosyan is a master of colors. His paintings have unique and interesting color solutions. Each painting is like a colourful fairy tale. As RA People’s Artist Sos Sargsyan once described, “Art is a fairy tale, if the fairy tale is not interesting, I do not want to listen to the continuation. In that sense, Tatos’s fairy tale is so interesting, beautiful, pure and kind that you do not want it to come to its end.”

We congratulate Hrant Tadevosyan on his birthday, wishing him good health, many years of creative and fruitful life to live and create fairy-tale-like and colorful paintings that are dear to each of us. We also thank the Master for being able to devote his precious time to the students, contributing to their education and development.
