In the exhibition hall of the 4th floor of National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, the exhibition of student works of the Faculty of Design took place, where the works of students created within the framework of the “Character Graphics” course were presented.
The Exhibition started with a welcome speech delivered by the Head of the Chair of Design Ashot Baghdasaryan. Mr. Baghdasaryan noted: “The Exhibition is very important for the Graphic Design academic programme. The Subject enables the students to get fairly stable professional knowledge in the field of Character Graphics. Our exhibitions, which are held consecutively mainly in professional subjects, are in fact a test for the practical setting of each subject, the programme accuracy, and the development of new steps for overcoming difficulties.”
The best works of about 35 students from 3 groups of the 3rd year were presented in the exhibition hall. The works will later become short films through animation software, and already in the final projects the works will be presented in more professional versions.
The Exhibition had a unique format: the winner was to be chosen by the audience. For this purpose, all the attendees were given pegs to attach to their favourite work.
Winners would be chosen in the “Best Performance” and “Best Idea” categories. However, by the audience’s choice, 3rd year student Davit Mkrtchyan was recognized as the winner in both categories.
