EXHIBITION ENTITLED “THE IMMORTALS OF THE FOUR-DAY WAR LIVE AND GIVE STRENGTH TO LIVE” AT NUACA

NUACA Student Council organized an exhibition entitled “The Immortals of the Four-Day War Live and Give Strength to Live”, dedicated to the individual creative works of the immortal hero ADAM SAHAKYAN (drawings and compositions).

Sergeant Adam Sahakyan is one of the heroes of our time – a smart and multi-talented young fellow. On April 2, 2016, he defended the military positions of Artsakh with his fellow servicemen in hot battles during the enemy attack on those positions. Adam was immortalized in the battle against the enemies that lasted 5 hours and inflicted significant losses on them. His heroic struggle enabled the Armenian regiment to be positioned on the second line of the front, ceasing the advancement of the enemy.

Adam Sahakyan was a student at National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia. Having enrolled in the University with high marks, he chose the specialty of an architect-designer. He was drafted into the Armenian Army from his second year. As NUACA Rector Y. Vardanyan stated: “All these compositional works and drawings speak about a creative and multi-talented young fellow with unique professional skills. The heros’ profile is shaped through time, heroic deeds immortalize the heros and imprint their names in the pages of history, and we must perceive their feats of heroism and acts of bravery every moment of our lives as exceptional lessons of patriotism, as well as educate and embed their heroism in future generations.”

The hero’s mother, Gayane Antonyan, speaking about her son’s professional skills, said: “These artworks are not complete. Adam’s creative works were first exhibited in Tamanyan Museum, in 2016. The immortals give us strength to live, but the living also compel us to do so. Many of those alive who love and appreciate Adam have come to visit us from the very first days to see where he lives.” She told us that one resident of Germany expressed a desire to exhibit Adam’s works in Germany. “These are his first works, maybe the lines are not precise. We were so pleased not to have these works thrown away as drafts. We had no clue they present such value,” added Mrs. Gayane.

The exhibition will be open until April 8.
