NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA
University with a 100-Year History
Currently, Narek Petrosyan is in the army, fulfills his military duty, he is a brave soldier, but at the same time, months ago, he was one of the exemplary students of the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia. Even during his military service, Narek does not forget that he is an architect with a mind, a spirit and a consciousness.
When the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport announced the Pan-Armenian Youth Contest on “100 Ideas for Armenia” aimed at developing young people’s innovative thinking, engaging them in the process of solving their socio-economic development problems, according to the Dean of the Architecture Faculty of NUACA Sargis Tovmasyan’s advice, Narek also applied to the project by his diploma work on “Space Technology Research and Development Center in Byurakan”.
Out of the many works presented in the 5 nominations, only 17 projects passed to the final stage, Narek was one of them. And the final result was more inspiring, honorable, and encouraging. Narek Petrosyan took the first place in the category of “Architecture”.
On December 10, the solemn ceremony of summarizing the results of the competition was attended by Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Arayik Harutyunyan, Acting Rector of NUACA Yeghiazar Vardanyan, officials and guests. Congratulating all the participants and the winners, Minister noted that many innovative ideas are not noticeable in everyday processes, so such competitions are a good opportunity both to make the authors recognizable and to apply those ideas.
Narek, BA degree graduate, the “Best Student 2019” nominated in “Architecture”, said that architecture is the profession of his dream, his present and future. As a proud citizen of Armenia, after his military duty, he decided to continue his education in Italy and become one of the best architects of our time.
We congratulate Narek on his victory and wish him peaceful service and unimpeded pursuit of his bright goals.
