A delegation of Vilnius College of Technology and Design has arrived at the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia within the framework of the EU ERAZMUS + Mobility Program, comprising the College Director Niyole Kikutieene, Dean of the Construction Faculty Lina Sakalauskien, International Affairs Coordinator Inga Pischikien and Petras Villasis from the Faculty of Railway transport.
As the rector, Gagik Galstyan mentioned at the reception, the visit of the hosted delegation is already friendly, from the series of mutual visits. Ladies from Vilnius admitted that they had heard about Armenian warmth and hospitality many times, but after seeing and feeling it, they were more excited. During a meeting with Rector Galstyan and professors, the guests, besides the admirable words, also donated a book to the university.
During the visit scheduled for May 13-17, members of the delegation will deliver a lecture, will present the educational programs of the Vilnius College of Technology and Design, and will have meetings with professors and students of the Faculty of Construction. A discussion is expected of the opportunities for direct exchanges between the two universities, English language improvement issues for construction faculty students, as well as accessibility of some modules in English in the 3rd semester at the Vilnius College of Technology and Design on the exchange of students in the ERZMUS + program.
As for the lectures, Niyole Kikutieene will deliver a lecture on “Lithuanian Technology and Design College Presentation, Promotion of International Exchange Programs and Students’ Mobility Programs”, Lina Sakalauskien – “Electricity Consumption in Residential Houses”, “Electricity Price Statistics”, “Electricity Generation Sources”, “Problems with pricing as a result of hot water use in Armenia and Lithuania” and Inga Pischikien – “What is the Academic Summary and what it is for? As well as how to make it literate, “The Structure of Academic Reports”.
