Recently, a unique poster competition dedicated to the anniversary of the victory and jointly initiated by the “Rossotrudnichestvo” Organization of the Russian House in Yerevan and the University has been launched at National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia.
The main theme of the Competition is the contribution of Armenians to the defeat of Nazi Germany. The works will be evaluated by a professional jury, and the best works of the participants of the final stage will be showcased in the final exhibition, once again emphasizing the role of the Armenian people in that crucial period of history.
During the Event, NUACA Vice-Rector for International Relations Vardges Yedoyan, Dean of the Faculty of Design Artashes Melikyan, and Head of the Chair of the same Faculty Ashot Baghdasaryan welcomed the guests. In his speech, Artashes Melikyan attached importance to the profound significance of the Project and noted: “It is, on a global scale, the greatest victory because, in my deep conviction, they were and will remain the representatives of the brilliant generation of humanity. This Project is a great responsibility, especially when the topic concerns the contribution of Armenians. Excessive modesty is inappropriate, because the history is known to everyone, and everyone knows that the contribution of Armenians to that victory is significant. And there are people who should be remembered forever. We extend our gratitude to your initiative.”
Within the framework of the Competition, various educational and cultural events are also being held at the University, one of which was an intellectual game-competition organized by the Russian House in Yerevan. The game, designed for students, consisted of five stages, during which participants tested their knowledge, logic, and quick orientation skills. As a result of the tense competition, the “The Bears” team was declared the winner, demonstrating high preparation and team cooperation.
At the end of the Meeting, representatives of the Russian House in Yerevan presented the Russian Center of the University with books by Russian classical and contemporary authors, contributing to the familiarization with Russian culture.
