Recently, the Representative for Science of the First Deputy President of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Armenia, Foreign Member of National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, Correspondent Member of the Academy of Sciences of Iran, and Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Mkrtich Tumanyan visited National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia.
The purpose of the visit was to develop scientific, technological, and academic ties and cooperation between the two countries, while also addressing the issue of diploma recognition in Iran, which would contribute to the advancement of scientific and diplomatic collaboration between the two nations.
The meeting was attended by NUACA Acting Rector Manuk Barseghyan, Chief of the University Staff Paylak Karapetyan, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Robert Sukiasyan, Vice-Rector for International Relations Vardges Yedoyan, Advisor of the Department of International Relations Armen Minasyan, Head of the Center for Education Quality Assurance and Development Varazdat Hovhannisyan, and Chief Specialist of the International and Inter-university Cooperation Department Zhanna Hakobyan.
Before the official meeting, Professor Mkrtich Tumanyan, accompanied by the University management, took a tour around the educational-scientific and research laboratories, as well as the studios.
Mr. Barseghyan, welcoming everyone, presented information about his visit to Iran and the recent negotiations with representatives of delegations from Iranian universities that had visited our University. Acting Rector Mr. Barseghyan noted that many citizens of the Islamic Republic of Iran are studying and have studied at NUACA, and after graduation, they find employment in their field both in Iran, Armenia, and abroad. In this context, he emphasized the importance of mutual recognition of graduation documents. Mr. Minasyan provided detailed information about the academic and scientific research collaboration established between NUACA and leading universities and organizations in Iran.
Professor Tumanyan highly appreciated the work done and expressed his willingness to offer possible support for the mutual recognition of graduation documents between the universities of the two countries. To this end, the necessary package of documents was handed over to Professor Mkrtich Tumanyan.
