The expanded session of NUACA Scientific Council was held in Aghveran. Based on the results of the previous conference, we singled out a number of events that were formed on the recommendation of vice-rectors, deans, heads of chairs, and other colleagues of faculties. Today the summary information about the course of these events will be presented to us. During the Session, we will outline our priorities and tasks for 2024. I wish everyone a productive and successful session!”
Vice Chairman of RA Urban Development Committee Davit Grigoryan was also present at the session of the Scientific Council, who delivered the welcoming speech of the Chairperson of NUACA Board of Trustees, Chairman of the Urban Development Committee Armen Ghularyan and noted: “I am pleased to note that every year the University records new achievements and success. It’s not a secret that University students, demonstrating high academic performance, pursue their specialty alongside their studies, both in public and private sectors. This underscores the quality not only of theoretical but also of applied knowledge acquired at the University. The Committee considers the University a very important and key partner, and in this context, I would like to remind you that the legislative amendments related to the licensing of organizations and certification of specialists in urban development have come into force, and in both these and many other matters, the Committee relies on the professional potential and capabilities of the University.”
During the session, Vice-Rectors, Deans, the Head of Education Quality Assurance and Strategic Development Center, Directors of the High School and Secondary Vocational Education College came up with reports. The speakers mentioned that the year was full of achievements for the University and among these achievements the re-recognition of the University architect diploma by the French Ministry of Culture as equal to the French diploma stands out. This is an opportunity for architect students to continue their activities in Europe, carrying out active creative work. The University has joined the International Federation of Surveyors and International Federation of Inventors’ Associations, which open a wide perspective for both the academic staff and students.
In the passing year, work-based learning, introduction of new academic programmes and separate courses in demand in the RA labor market, revision of existing courses, trainings organized for lecturers, additional courses for students in various software packages and foreign languages have been particularly given importance in the field of education. In the passing year, most of the topics of the final works for undergraduate and graduate programmes were received from state agencies at the initiative of the University.
In 2023, about 180 lecturers and 220 students participated in training courses, lectures, exhibition-conferences, competitions, etc., within the framework of international exchange programs. This proves the strengthening of the University’s reputation as a reliable partner on international platforms.
