NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

By the decision of the Scientific Council of the Russian-Armenian University, Ruben Artuchyan, Associate Professor of the Chair of Sketch Drawing, Painting and Sculpture of the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, was awarded the title of an Honorary Doctor for his huge contribution to Armenian culture, good citizenship and humanism. Ruben Sergey Arutchyan was born in 1947 in Yerevan, in the family of People’s Painter of the Armenian SSR Sergey Arutchyan, studied in 1964-1970 at the Faculty of Architecture of the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute. He is a member of the Union of Architects of Armenia and a member of the Artists’ Union of Armenia.

In 2001 he was the main painter of the City of Yerevan, and since 2011 he has been a member of the Union of Armenian Artists of the World. R․ Arutchyan has had numerous exhibitions and has been awarded a number of awards, including the title of an Honorary Painter of the Republic of Armenia.
