We hosted the italian designer

Today the Italian mood is prevailing  in the NUACA. Armenia together with 100 countries took part in the International Day of the Italian design. On this day prominent members of the Italian design industry are being hosted in 100 countries around the world to introduce the world the examples and features of the Italian design.

Today, NUACA hosted the Italian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary H.E. Mr. Giovanni Ricciulli and designer David Dolchini, the graduate of the Industrial Design Faculty at Milan Polytechnic University whose works are regularly exhibited in the best museums of the world.

The guests were greeted by the NUACA Rector Gagik Galstyan, University faculty members and the large number of students. Rector Galstyan uttered that the International  Day of the Italian design  belongs to everybody and emphasized that the examples of the Italian design and vivid imagination have always been a classic example for everybody. Underlining the fact of active and effective cooperation between the NUACA and the Polytechnic of Milan, Rector Galstyan expressed hope that David Dolchini’s visit will boost cooperation and foster the ties between the Armenian and Italian student designers.

The Ambassador Ricciulli and the NUACA dean of Design Faculty Armen Bubushyan also delivered their keynote addresses for the significant day. They emphasized the fact that our country is included in the  list of 100 countries involved in celebrating the International Day of the Italian design.

David Dolchini rushed to speak. He was impressed by our hospitality, students’ active participation, inquisitiveness, willingness to raise questions and initiate discussions. He told about his student-year preferences, work style and his understanding of art and design. To make his ideas much clearer Dolchini had a film, which proved that everything is born from nature, hence both design and architecture should be consistent and harmonious with nature.

“The interior of the man shall be convenint even if he lives in the cave”: with this creed Dolchini motivated our students to admire their profession, be devoted to the great concept called to make the human life both beautiful and comfortable.
