VISITS OF PUPILS TO NUACA CONTINUE

About 200 pupils from Yerevan High Schools N 170 and N 159 and Yeghegnadzor, Gavar High Schools visited the University within the framework of professional orientation activities. The tours were carried out by the employees of the Admission and Career Department, and the pupils were met by the Deans of various faculties of the University and specialists of the respective chairs. The meetings were made more interesting by the seminar. For example, the seminar on “Money”, which was conducted by lecturer of the Chair of Economics, Law and Management Lianna Ohanyan, and the game-competition, entitled “Air Balloon”, was organized by lecturer of the Chair of Economics, Law and Management Taguhi Barseghyan. The topic of the game-competition was the substantiation of the choice of professions, which aims to help high school pupils in making the right career choice.

During the tours, lecturer at the Chair of Water Systems, Hydraulic Engineering and Hydropower Armine Hakobyan conducted experiments with the students in the Hydraulics laboratory, and lecturer at the Chair of Construction Machinery and Traffic Management Garik Khachatryan presented the analysis of the examination of road traffic accidents through computer modeling.

 Lecturers of the Chair of Design and the Chair of Interior and Exterior Design Ani Acharyan and Eleonora Margaryan represented the Faculty of Design and provided information on the 3 academic programmes available in the faculty.

The President of the Student Council Susanna Hakobyan presented the student programs organized at the University and the student life.

The pupils were interested in the laboratories and studios at the University, they wanted to know if in the future their classes would also be held in laboratories furnished with such latest technological equipment, and they were also interested in the exams and the application procedure. At the end of the meetings, the students extended their gratitude for giving them such an opportunity, assured that such meetings help a lot in choosing professions, and many admitted that they had no idea that their chosen profession was so relevant and in demand in the labor market.
