UNIVERSITY SEMINARS AT NUACA

The University seminars continue to be held at National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, which aim to create a platform for exchange of experience and discussions on various topics related to science and education.

Currently, seminars on the following topics have been held:

  • “Environmental Issues and Current Problems in the Stages of Design and Construction Implementation” presented by Assistant at the Chair of Geoecology and Biosafety Kristine Sahakyan and Head of the Chair of Technology and Organisation of Construction Production, PhD in Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Armine Ghulyan.
  • The Main Provisions of the “Reconstruction, Restoration and Strengthening of Bridges” Norms presented by Head of the Chair of Roads and Bridges, PhD in Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Artashes Sargsyan and PhD in Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Hakob Gyulzadyan.
  • “Opportunities for Increasing Energy and Hydraulic Efficiency in the Water Supply System” presented by Dean of the Faculty of Construction, PhD in Technical Sciences Aram Sahakyan.
  • “Issues Related to the Practical Implementation of Master Plans of the Settlements and The Mechanisms of Their Solution” presented by Acting Head of the Chair of Urban Planning, PhD in Architecture, Professor Zaruhi Mamyan and Doctor of Architecture, Professor Arsen Arustamyan.
  • “The Impact of Incomplete or Incorrect Traffic Organization on Safety in Road Projects” presented by Lecturer at the Chair of Construction Machinery and Traffic Management Arusyak Khachatryan.
  • “The Importance of Optimal Design of Structures in the Fields of Architecture and Construction” presented by Associate Professor at the Department of Mathematics, Construction Mechanics and Physics, PhD in Physical-Mathematical Sciences Bagrat Geghamyan.
  • “The Influence of External Factors on the Structure and Physical and Chemical Properties of Water” presented by Head of the Department of Mathematics, Construction Mechanics and Physics, Doctor of Physical-Mathematical Sciences, Professor Yurik Babayan.
  • “The Results of Historical and Architectural Research in Tayk Province: The Newly Discovered Monuments of Azordatspor and Okaghe Provinces” presented by Assistant at the Chair of Theory, History and Heritage of Architecture, PhD in Architecture David Nahatakyan.
  • “The Application of BIM Technologies in Modern Design and Construction Works, The Connection of the Current Geodetic Measurements and Monitoring with the BIM Model” presented by Associate Professor at the Chair of Technology and Organisation of Construction Production, PhD in Technical Sciences Vahan Grigoryan, PhD in Technical Sciences, Assistant Ashot Grigoryan and Lecturer Ashot Mkhitaryan.
  • “Rational Use of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection in the Construction Industry” presented by Professor at the Chair of Production of Construction Materials, Items and Structures, Doctor of Technical Sciences Maria Badalyan and Associate Professor at the Chair of Heat and Gas Supply and Ventilation, PhD in Technical Sciences Siranush Egnatosyan.
  • “Obtaining of Fiber-Reinforced Concrete with Enhanced Properties Using Composite Binders” presented by Associate Professor at the Chair of Production of Construction Materials, Items and Structures, PhD in Technical Sciences Amalya Karapetyan.

The seminar on “Opportunities for the Reuse of Real Estate Objects with the Application of Ecological Economic Standards and BIM Technologies” will be held on December 10 and will be presented by Associate Professor at the Chair of Economics, Law, and Management, PhD in Technical Sciences Zara Manvelyan and Assistant Astghik Grigoryan. The seminar on “3D Modeling as a Toolkit for Studying and Reconstructing Historical and Cultural Heritage” will be held on December 13 and will be presented by Professor at the Chair of Theory, History, and Heritage of Architecture, Doctor of Architecture Lyuba Kirakosyan and Ruben Sargsyan.

These seminars are testament to NUACA active scientific and educational activities. They not only create a platform for the exchange of professional experience and acquisition of new knowledge, but also promote scientific thinking of the participants, collaboration and development of innovative solutions. This format ensures continuous development both for the University and the professional community, contributing to the progress of education and science.
