NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

Praising students, encouraging them with various awards is one of the priorities in the field of education. This year as well, as a tradition, the ceremony of awarding the winners of “The Best Student” 2020 contest was solemnly held at RA MoESCS in the presence of ESCS Minister Vahram Dumanyan, the deputy ministers, university rectors and students. The contest was held according to academic degrees; Bachelor’s and Master’s, and according to seven fields; Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Armenian Studies, Humanities, Medicine, Engineering, Culture and Sport.

38 students representing 16 State Universities were the winners of the Contest, who have been selected according to the following criteria; grades, participation in scientific conferences, international contests, olympiads, number of articles published in scientific journals and social activity.

Among the honorary students were also the students of the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia. One of the 13 students, who took the 2nd place in the Engineering category, was Khachik Khachatryan, a graduate senior student majoring in “Transportation and Traffic Organization and Management” of the Faculty of Urban Economy and Ecology of our University, the secretary of NUACA Board of Trustees.

Among the 12 students, who took the 3rd place again in the Engineering category, was Mane Meloyan, an undergraduate fourth-year student from the Faculty of Architecture of our University.

We also have a winner in the Culture and Sport category. Kima Yedoyan, a graduate senior student majoring in “Environmental Design” of the Faculty of Design, took the 3rd place. She is currently studying in Warsaw within the framework of “Erasmus+” six-month program.

Under Ghazaros Saryan String Quartet performed by Jazz Quartet and Symphony Orchestra, the Minister congratulated the winners noting that being a winner is something to be proud of but at the same time it is also a big responsibility.

It should be noted that the 1st place winners of “The Best Student” contest were awarded 415.000 AMD, the 2nd place winners- 305.000 AMD and the 3rd place winners- 220.000 AMD.

We congratulate the best students of our University and wish them many new professional achievements and glorious victories.
