NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

The international week of “Design Without Borders” officially launched at NUACA. The event is being held in cooperation with St. Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, and St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technology and Design and is aimed at bringing together design specialists and students.

The event launched with a welcome speech delivered by the Dean of the Faculty of Design Artashes Melikyan. Mr. Melikyan noted that he was glad to host everyone at the University and expressed hope that both sides would have a successful cooperation.

Vice-Rector for International Relations Vardges Yedoyan also delivered a welcome speech. Mr. Yedoyan noted that an interesting working week was ahead including lectures, discussions, tours, etc., and wished all the participants a successful course.

Lectures and practical workshops are envisaged for the week on current design trends, technological innovations, effects of artificial intelligence, impression making etc.. 20 leading specialists in the field will present their experience and share their knowledge, and the students will have the opportunity to develop their skills in a practical environment. In addition, the programme includes cognitive visits to historical and cultural places and museums of Armenia. This event strengthens international cooperation and promotes the exchange of experience, which has a long-term impact on the development of the field. Participating students and specialists will have opportunities to make new connections and collaborate, which can serve to further their career development. The Event is also an important platform for strengthening the design industry in Armenia and responding to modern challenges, thereby creating new opportunities for both the students and the specialists.
