University with a 100-Year History
At the session dated April 7, the RA Government approved the state-funded places for the admission to undergraduate and graduate studies for the 2022/2023 academic year.
2927 State-Funded Places for Undergraduate Studies:
For the 2022-2023 academic year, 2927 places have been allocated for the admission to the Bachelor’s and continuing and integrated education programmes with the full reimbursement of tuition fee (free of charge), 1943 out of which to the higher education institutions under the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.
Out of 1943 state-funded places provided to higher education institutions of the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, 1105 (56.9%) will be allocated to the field of Science and Mathematics (STEM), 414 (37.5%) out of which will be allocated to the specialties of information and communication technologies. It should be noted that for this academic year the number of state-funded places for admission to the Bachelor’s degree academic programme has increased by 100.
As in previous years, this year special admission places will be allocated to graduates of educational institutions implementing the “Araratian Baccalaureate” programme.
421 places have been allocated to the RA Ministry of Defense, 55 (3 places to Artsakh) to the RA Educational Complex of Police, 60 places to Crisis Management State Academy under the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia (5 places to Artsakh). 245 places have been allocated within the framework of the RA Ministry of Defense “I Have the Honor” program, including 20 places for the Republic of Artsakh. 60 places have been allocated to the Republic of Artsakh for the admission to the Bachelor’s degree academic programme.
83 state-funded places have been allocated to foreign citizens, 70 out of which to applicants from the Armenian Diaspora, and 13 places to foreign citizens (for receiving education within the framework of interstate agreements).
22300 places have been allocated for the admission to a not state-funded Bachelor’s degree academic programme.
1416 State-Funded Places for Graduate Studies:
For the 2022-2023 academic year, 1416 places have been allocated for the admission to Master’s Degree academic programme by the state with full reimbursement of tuition fees (free of charge), 1101 out of which to RA state universities. In the 2022-2023 academic year, the number of places allocated to the specialties of natural sciences (Mathematics, Computer Science, Physical Sciences, Earth Sciences and Environment, Biological Sciences) has increased by 22 places compared to the 2021-2022 academic year.
30 places have been allocated to the Republic of Artsakh for the admission to Master’s Degree academic programme.
Another 23 state-funded places will be allocated within the framework of interstate agreements, in the form of state scholarships with the reimbursement of tuition fees.
