The administration of Yervand Qochar Museum, in collaboration with the NUACA, initiated matinee dedicated to the Armenian prominent painter, sculptor Yervand Qochar’s talent, works and life in Paris. Among the guests the lecturers and foreign students visiting to our university from French Clermont-Ferrand National Higher School of Architecture, German Regensburg University of Applied Sciences, the University of A Coruña also attended the matinee during these days.

The event was launched by Karine Qochar, the director of the museum, who thanked NUACA for support and noted that the event was another opportunity to get acquainted with Qochar’s art, moreover, introduce it to foreign art lovers. NUACA’s vice-rector on International Affairs Vardges Yedoyan also delivered a welcoming speech followed by a small francophone performance performed by Manuk Abeghyan high school students.

Kochar was in Paris in 1923. In France he was the first to create a new plastic-artistic way of expression, the “spatial painting”, which includes also time as the additional, fourth dimension. The pupils told the guests and particularly foreign students about Qochar as a personality, artist and briefed about his outstanding contributions to the world painting.
