PARTICIPATION IN THE WINTER SCHOOL “CURRENT CHALLENGES OF ENGINEERING AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION” BEING HELD IN POLAND

The AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, Poland organized a winter school “Current Challenges of Engineering and Environmental Protection”, which was attended by a fourth-year part-time student Kristine Tovmasyan and a fifth-year student Vahan Petrosyan of the Faculty of Management and Technology majoring in “Economics”, a fourth-year undergraduate student of the Faculty of Urban Economy and Ecology, majoring in “Tourism” Gayane Galoyan, a third-year undergraduate student of the Faculty of Architecture Arevik Nazaryan, and a fourth-year undergraduate student of the Faculty of Construction majoring in “Geodesy and Cadastre” Samvel Hovhannisyan.

The students participated in the intensive international academic programme project entitled “Second Issue of the International School of University of Science and Technology in Kraków”.

The purpose of the visit was to study various environmental issues, conduct research, discuss and find solutions with various university students, get acquainted with student life, and historical-cultural sites within the framework of the intensive international academic programme project entitled “Second Issue of the International School of University of Science and Technology in Kraków”. Within the framework of the project, students participated in online lectures, familiarized with the participating students and the organizers of the project. They conducted practical sessions and discussions in the auditoriums, research on environmental issues, a tour around the historical-cultural sites of the city, as well as presented a material on the topic of “Vardavar” from national holidays. Then, together with the students and organizers, they had an educational trip to another city in Poland, Zakopane, where they got acquainted with the winter town, tasted traditional dishes, where games and tours were organized with students from other universities. At the end of the project, the participating students were awarded with certificates by AGH University and held a closing ceremony, during which gift-giving and catering were held.

At the end of the program, the partner university, highly appreciating the participation of National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia in the program, offered the students to continue their graduate education at AGH University of Science and Technology.

The expenses related to traveling abroad were covered by the Erasmus+ programme.
