Mayor of Yerevan Hayk Marutyan visited the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia. Accompanied by NUACA Rector Yeghiazar Vardanyan, the Mayor toured the laboratories of the University, got acquainted with the conditions and opportunities created for the implementation of scientific-research works.
Extending his gratitude to the Mayor Hayk Marutyan for accepting the invitation, NUACA Rector Yeghiazar Vardanyan noted that the technical equipment of the University allows to provide students with quality education and to train highly qualified professionals, who meet the requirements of the labor market.
“The expansion of the traditionally formed cooperation between the University and the Municipality is important not only in the field of architecture, but also in the field of construction, transport and infrastructure. The University is ready to contribute to the development of the City with its specialists and technical capabilities,” mentioned the Rector.
Referring to the need to deepen the cooperation between the two structures, Mayor Hayk Marutyan highlighted that the mentioned sectors of urban economy are extremely important for the development of the City, and assured that the Municipality is open and ready to expand the cooperation.
“In fact, the scope of our cooperation is large, starting with the fact that we can say what real problems we have and, based on that assessment, understand what kind of specialists need to be trained, and ending with the fact that you suggest us the solution to those problems the way you see them. We are always ready to take the advice of a good specialist, to implement it and work together. Our main goal is to get out of the situation, in which the City has appeared today, and move forward. We should keep the example of European cities. There is a long path ahead of us, but I am sure we can take it…,” emphasized the Mayor.
