Award of baltrusaitis looks for its winner

Today NUACA hosted the Lithuanian Ambassador Erikas Petrikas for his working visit which the Ambassador assessed as a continuation of strong friendship. The visit aimed at addressing several issues.

The Ambassador informed that the book by a Lithuanian art historian, art critic and a founder of comparative art research Jurgis Baltrušaitis and the Armenian professor Tigran Quyumjian entitled “Jugha at the Bank of Araqs River and its Monuments” won the recognition and proper interest and there are talks for publishing the book in new quantity.

Gagik Galstyan welcomed the Ambassador’s visit, reiterating on friendly relations and that the corner dedicated to the Jurgis Baltrušaitis and other art historians and artists would be ready by the help of NUACA architects by the end of October.

However, the most important goal of the ambassador’s visit was to discuss the Baltrušaitis award procedure. As a result of negotiations it was decided to submit 5 works of students at the end of the academic year and the “Best Work of the Year” will also be nominated for the Baltrušaitis monetary award.
