Where does patriotism come from? Do we become patriots still in the cradle, under the song of a nightingale, or in the arms of a serviceman father or grandfather, or do we learn about it from school notebooks and books? Every Armenian, both old and young, will answer this question unambiguously: we are born with patriotism, it colours our blood, fills our eyes with faith and pride, and strengthens our fists.
Today their weapon is still the pen, but they know the value of the braves who take up arms, they know how to glorify, appreciate and bow down before their noble feats. It was a day of glorification and admiration at NUACA High school after Manuk Abeghyan. How had they prepared for that important day and what feelings did they have on the stage? It’s impossible to put it into words. They spoke on behalf of an entire nation and history of the nation, and the lyrics of the songs told about the pain of each soldier, but also about the victory and the unwavering hope of revival of the historical Homeland.
The students spared no effort to express through tears the words of their hearts and gratitude to each hero fallen in the war. The event was filled with patriotic, national songs accompanied by the incomparable sounds of the piano, violin and duduk, and with a silent candle lighting at the heroic corner.
