WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE ERASMUS+ 2024 INFORMATION DAYS A MEETING WAS HELD AT NUACA

Recently, a meeting was held at National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia (NUACA) within the framework of the Erasmus+ 2024 Information Days on the initiative of the Erasmus+ National Office in Armenia. The purpose of the meeting was to provide information to institutions, non-governmental organizations, and other applicants about the Erasmus+ program, introduce the opportunities it offers, and assist in preparing application forms.

The main topics of the presentations and discussions were:

  • Erasmus+ program activities available for HEIs
  • Practical advice on managing Erasmus+ already funded projects in the Sigma system
  • Creation of a Logical Framework Matrix during the project development stage
  • Joint Master’s programmes: from creation to implementation
  • Mechanisms for ensuring inclusion and equity in the education sector
  • Jean Monnet actions and the establishment of Jean Monnet Center of Excellence.

The meeting was attended by Vice-Rector for International Relations of the University Vardges Yedoyan, Advisor of the Department of International Relations and architect Armen Minasyan, Head of the Center for Education Quality Assurance and DevelopmentVarazdat Hovhannisyan, Chief Specialist of the International and Inter-university Cooperation Department Zhanna Hakobyan, Head of the National Erasmus+ Office in Armenia Lana Karlova, staff members of the office, and representatives from National Polytechnic University of Armenia, Yerevan State University, European University of Armenia, the State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia, Gavar State University, as well as international project coordinators and experts in the field.

In his speech Vice-Rector for International Relations Vardges Yedoyan welcomed the participants and noted that the University has been continuously involved in European grant programs. As a consortium member, NUACA has participated in the “TEMPUS” and “Erasmus+” programs since 1996, which are aimed at building the university’s capacities, renewing and improving academic and educational programmes, modernizing laboratories and equipment, and enhancing the university’s management system. These activities provide the university with the opportunity to continuously develop international cooperation and improve the quality of education.

In her speech, Ms. Karlova provided a detailed overview of the various directions of the Erasmus+ program, the projects implemented in recent years in Armenia and the region, as well as the upcoming projects and the process of preparing applications.

Ms. Karlova mentioned that Armenia ranks third in the region in terms of the number of funded projects under the “Capacity Building in Higher Education” action and first in terms of the number of funded projects under the Capacity Building in the Field of Vocational Education and Training (VET) action.

At the end of the event, the discussed topics were summarized through a Q&A session with the participants.
