A meeting was held at NUACA, the purpose of which was to present the main provisions of the special technical conditions developed for the first time in the Republic of Armenia for the design of buildings with 30 above grade and four below grade floors that do not meet the requirements of the earthquake-resistant construction norms according to the volumetric-planning and structural solutions operating in the Republic of Armenia. Rector Yeghiazar Vardanyan, Head of the Chair of Building Structures Tigran Dadayan and the staff were present at the meeting. First Deputy Chairman of the Urban Development Committee Davit Grigoryan and the developer of the multifunctional residential complex under discussion were also invited to the meeting.
Tigran Dadayan presented the implemented works in detail, told about the best international experience for designing similar buildings, in particular, about the measures used in the USA and Japan. And in the end, he identified the main calculation requirements that need to be ensured when designing these buildings.
The special technical conditions are developed under the supervision of the Head of the Chair of Building Structures Tigran Dadayan and with the advice of an engineer-constructor Karl Grigoryan from the USA experienced in designing similar buildings.
