The Board of Trustees of National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenian launched its activities with the speech of the most senior member of the Board, Professor of the Chair of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture, People’s Painter of the Republic of Armenia Hrant Tadevosyan. After approving the agenda, Mr. Tadevosyan moved on to the first issue: the election of the Chairman of the Board .
NUACA Rector Manuk Barseghyan, addressing the audience, noted: “The new composition of the Board of Trustees has already been approved, and according to the law, today we must elect the Chairman and Secretary of the Board. I extend my gratitude to everyone for their active participation in University life and their responsible approach.”
Then, the candidacy of the Chairman of the Urban Development Committee, Yeghiazar Vardanyan, was proposed. By open vote, the Chairman of the Urban Development Committee, Yeghiazar Vardanyan, was unanimously elected Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
Yeghiazar Vardanyan extended his gratitude to the members of the Board and wished them fruitful work: “It is a great honour for me to lead the Board of Trustees in this friendly atmosphere. National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia has entered a more dynamic stage of development, which is also noted by all state departments related to the University. With our joint work, we will try to support and make every effort to make this development faster and more tangible.”
By the next issue of the agenda, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Design Tatevik Paytyan was unanimously elected Secretary of the Board.
Then, by the next issue, Rector Manuk Barseghyan presented the new structure and staff list of the University for approval. Mr. Barseghyan first extended his congratulations to the newly appointed Chairman of the Bouncil and the entire Board, and noted: “I extend my congratulations and gratitude to you for always being by the side of the University. With your support, we have made the right and far-sighted decisions. Now I present the structure, which has already been approved by the Scientific Council. I would like to emphasize that, if approved, it will be in force from January 2026.”
In the final part of the Session, the programs being implemented at the University and upcoming reforms aimed at the continuous development of the academic and scientific environment were discussed.
