TWO-DAY CONFERENCE OF NUACA PHD STUDENTS AND APPLICANTS HAS BEEN LAUNCHED

Two-day conference of NUACA PhD students and applicants has been launched, attended by more than 19 PhD students, applicants, and researchers.

The conference is aimed at identifying problems, emerged during postgraduate education, outlining ways to overcome them, highlighting the importance of accountability, and assisting PhD students in choosing the right paths for their further research.

NUACA Rector Yeghiazar Vardanyan delivered a welcome speech at the conference, emphasizing: “This conference is the starting point of the activities aimed at identifying and controlling the obstacles to scientific activities and research that hinder the effective scientific activities.

I welcome you all and thank you for your participation, urging you to discuss all the issues together, exchange ideas and find solutions to the issues raised so that we can take up their solution upon our return. As a result of today’s discussions on the presented topics, we will also set the frequency of our meetings. I am convinced that the exchange of best practices of chairs and supervisors will be effective for PhD students in their scientific research.”

Manuk Barseghyan, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, also welcomed the participants of the event. He noted that the answers to the questions received during the conference will guide the PhD students in the right direction in conducting their research.

Ashot Gevorgyan, Head of the Department of Postgraduate Education and Scientific Information, provided general information about PhD students, applicants and doctoral students.

On the first day, 14 reports were presented on the PhD students’ reports and presentations on the activities conducted by PhD students and applicants. Afterwards, an exchange of opinions on the presented topics was carried out.

The conference will resume on May 13.
