Recently, a delegation led by the Rector of Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography (MIIGAiK) N. Kamynina visited National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia. Among the Delegation were Vice-Rector A. Karpukov, Advisor for International Affairs S. Shvedova, Head of the Corporate Projects Department I. Izakson. The Meeting was also attended by the Advisor to the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Armenia and the representative of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation M. Vozhdaev.
The members of the Delegation had an introductory tour around the Geodesy Laboratory and Russian Language Center of the University. A meeting was held with the Management of the University, which was attended by Rector M. Barseghyan, Vice-Rector for International Relations V. Yedoyan, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs R. Sukiasyan, Head of the Science Department, Acting Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs S. Tovmasyan, Head of the Center for Education Quality Assurance and Development V. Hovhannisyan, Dean of the Faculty of Urban Economy and Ecology V. Harutyunyan, Acting Head of the Chair of Engineering Geodesy A. Margaryan, Head of the Russian Language Center K. Hovhannisyan.
During the Meeting, issues on educational-scientific cooperation, particularly, on organizing network education in the field of Geodesy, training young personnel, student exchange, creating joint academic programmes, as well as conducting scientific-research activities were discussed.
Our University expressed its support for the development of architectural education, training personnel, and supervision of scientific topics at Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography.
At this year’s cooperation events, as a start, it was proposed to organize training for specialists of our University in Moscow for a period of 1-1.5 months. M. Vozhdaev expressed his willingness to assist in allocating quotas, apply the modular form within the framework of the organized joint network education, jointly use educational-scientific laboratories, and participate in the scientific conferences to be held in Moscow in May and in Yerevan in October.
At the request of the guests and through the mediation of the University, a visit to the Cadastre Committee and a meeting with the Head of the Committee S. Tovmasyan, as well as a visit to the Russian-Armenian University were organized.
