NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

Lilit Babayan, architect- urban planner, PhD student of the Chair of theory of architecture, restoration and reconstruction of historical-architectural heritage, fine arts and history of NUACA also participated in the international “U-Forum” conference held in Tbilisi on March 1-2.

The conference, organized by the Tbilisi State University and the Georgian City Institute, was devoted to contemporary issues of urban development and land use and exchange of experience of the participating countries. Among the participating countries were Armenia, USA, Norway, Portugal, France, Russia, Moldova, Ukraine, Poland, and Azerbaijan.

Our student was present at the conference on “Cluster Structure of Territories as an Instrument of Assessment, Efficient Use and Sustainable Development of RA Land Resources”. During our conversation with Lilit, she noted that her work, in terms of modernity, was of particular interest as she included the problematic issues in almost all post-Soviet countries.

In the framework of the forum active discussions were held among the participants and leading specialists in architecture and urban development of Georgia. An excursion was organized to the poor and transformable areas.
