NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

Due to the collaboration between the Kuwait Science Club and the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions, the 13^th International Invention Fair of the Middle East was held in Kuwait on February 12-15, 2023. NUACA Head of the Chair of Technology and Organization of Construction Production, PhD in Technical Sciences, Professor, Distinguished Construction Worker of the Republic of Armenia Vardges Grigoryan, and lecturer Ashot Mkhitaryan participated representing the Republic of Armenia. 183 inventions from 43 countries were presented at the exhibition. Many guests participated in the international exhibition, they were presented with the inventions and their meanings. Within the framework of the event, meeting-discussions were held with the ministers of Kuwait, as well as opinions were exchanged. At the end of the exhibition during the closing ceremony, Professor Grigoryan’s invention “Retainers for Metal Reinforcements” was awarded with a Silver Medal. The award was handed over by the Emir of Kuwait and the Head of The Science Club. Lecturer Ashot Mkhitaryan was awarded with a certificate of participation.

At the end of the exhibition, Mr. Grigoryan extended his gratitude to all the participants. “I greet you and wish to thank the city authorities, specialists in the field of education and science, the Rector of National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, the Embassy of Armenia and all the organizers who spared no effort and energy to organize this exhibition, also thank you for appreciating the invention and awarding the medal. Here we not only exchanged our thoughts, but the warmth of our souls as well, which is no less important,” noted Mr. Grigoryan, adding that the greatest invention is human warmth.

The Professor’s invention refers to the field of construction, in particular, the retainers are placed under the reinforcements at an angle, which ensures the rise of the protective layer necessary for each diameter, and also the reinforcement is placed in the design position, which corresponds to the correct design conditions.

Professor Grigoryan is the author of 21 inventions, 165 scientific articles and more than 16 professional books.
