NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia hosted a delegation from the Liepaja Academy of Riga Technical University within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme. The main aim of the visit was to strengthen partnership relations between the two universities, develop international cooperation, and outline new joint academic and scientific research  directions.

The members of the Delegation met with representatives of the University’s International Cooperation Department. The international activities of the two universities, the initiatives and achievements implemented within the framework of the Erasmus+ programmes were presented, after which meaningful discussions were held on the further expansion of cooperation.

The delegation also visited the University’s research laboratories, getting acquainted with the work of the laboratories of building materials technologies, BIM systems and geodesy, as well as the University’s scientific and educational infrastructure and technical capabilities.

An important component of the visit was the meetings with representatives of the administrative and academic staff of the Faculties of Architecture, Management and Technology. The possibilities of exchanging lecturers and students, organizing joint courses, implementing research projects and developing new international programmes were discussed, emphasizing the importance of expanding bilateral cooperation, including within the framework of new Erasmus+ initiatives.

Within the framework of the visit, a representative of the Liepaja Academy of Riga Technical University Professor Arturs Medvetskis delivered a lecture on “Sociology in Business” to students of the Faculty of Management and Technology, presenting modern approaches and practical applications of the field.
